24-Hour Emergency Tyre Fitting in Scotland: What to Expect & How to Book

Emergency tyre fitting available 24 hours a day across all of Scotland. Average 45-minute response in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Call 0141 266 0690 anytime — day or night.

# 24-Hour Emergency Tyre Fitting in Scotland: What to Expect

Getting a flat tyre is stressful enough. Getting one at 3am on the M8, or on a dark Highland road, adds another layer of anxiety. The good news: Tyre Rescue operates a genuine 24/7 emergency mobile tyre fitting service across all of Scotland — no after-hours surcharge, no answerphone, just a real fitter dispatched to your location.

Quick answer: Call 0141 266 0690. We answer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Give your location, tyre size (or vehicle registration), and we'll dispatch a fitter immediately.

What Does "24-Hour Tyre Fitting" Actually Mean?

Many companies advertise "24-hour service" but rely on a callback system, an answerphone, or a third-party call centre. With Tyre Rescue, 24-hour means:

  • Live call answering — a real person picks up, not a machine
  • Immediate dispatch — your fitter is sent while you're still on the phone
  • Same pricing — no emergency or out-of-hours surcharge (unlike some competitors who charge 50–100% more after 10pm)
  • Fully stocked vans — our vans carry a comprehensive range of tyre sizes so we rarely need to order in

Response Times Across Scotland

What Happens When You Call

  1. Call 0141 266 0690 — lines open 24/7/365
  2. Give your exact location — a postcode, Google Maps share, or a road number and direction
  3. Give your vehicle registration — we'll look up the tyre size (or you can read it from the sidewall: e.g. 205/55R16)
  4. We confirm availability and give you an accurate ETA
  5. The nearest fitter is dispatched immediately
  6. You'll receive a text with the fitter's name and a live tracking link (where available)
  7. The fitter arrives, confirms the job, fits the tyre, and you pay by card or Apple/Google Pay at the van

What Does 24-Hour Emergency Tyre Fitting Cost?

Pricing is the same day or night:

  • Standard callout fee: £49 (covers the visit; tyre cost is additional)
  • Tyre cost: from £55 (budget) to £200+ (premium) depending on size and brand
  • Puncture repair: from £35 (if the tyre can be repaired — many punctures can be)
  • TPMS sensor reset: included when fitting
  • Wheel balancing: included in the fitting price

*No hidden out-of-hours charges. No fuel surcharge. What we quote is what you pay.*

Do You Cover My Location?

We cover all of Scotland, including:

  • All Greater Glasgow postcodes (G1–G78)
  • Edinburgh and the Lothians (EH postcodes)
  • Dundee and Tayside (DD postcodes)
  • Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire (AB postcodes)
  • Inverness and the Highlands (IV, PH, KW postcodes)
  • Fife (KY postcodes)
  • Ayrshire (KA postcodes)
  • Scottish Borders (TD, DG postcodes)
  • Western Isles, Orkney, Shetland (HS, KW, ZE postcodes — advance booking recommended)

For very remote locations, we'll always tell you honestly whether we can reach you and what the realistic ETA is. We never take a booking we can't fulfil.

Common Scenarios We Handle at Night

Motorway breakdown: If you're on the M8, M74, M77, M80, M9 or A9, call us immediately. Use your hazard lights and move to the hard shoulder if possible. We carry full safety equipment including traffic warning cones. Driveway or car park: A flat discovered in the morning before work is one of the most common callouts. We'll come to your home or workplace — even at 6am. Airport flat tyre: Glasgow Airport (PA3) and Edinburgh Airport (EH12) are two of our most frequent after-hours locations. Business travellers returning from late flights often find a flat tyre waiting for them. Festival and event venues: T in the Park (historically), TRNSMT, Edinburgh Fringe — we cover major venues and respond even during late-night crowd dispersal periods. Holiday cottage / Airbnb: Stranded in a rural cottage in Perthshire or Argyll? We'll come to you. Give the exact postcode of the property.

Tips for a Faster Callout

  1. Share your location via Google Maps — open Maps, tap your location dot, tap "Share," and send us the link via WhatsApp (0141 266 0690)
  2. Note your tyre size — it's on the sidewall of your current tyre and in your owner's manual
  3. Stay with your vehicle if it's safe to do so — but move well away from traffic if you're on a motorway or A-road
  4. Switch on your hazard lights and if you have a warning triangle, place it 45 metres behind the car
  5. Check your locking wheel nut key is accessible — tell us if you don't have one and we can advise

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an extra charge for night-time callouts?

No. We charge the same price whether you call at noon or 3am. The £49 callout fee and tyre prices are fixed regardless of time of day or day of week.

How do I pay?

By card (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx) or contactless / Apple Pay / Google Pay at the van. We do not accept cash. A receipt is emailed automatically.

What if you don't carry my tyre size?

Our vans carry hundreds of tyre sizes. The vast majority of cars have common sizes (195/65R15, 205/55R16, 225/45R17 etc.) which we always carry. For unusual sizes — very large SUV tyres, run-flats, or specialist performance fitments — we'll advise honestly when you call.

Do you replace run-flat tyres at night?

Yes, but run-flat tyres have more limited size availability. We recommend calling ahead so we can confirm stock before dispatching.

Can you come to a multi-storey car park?

Yes — we regularly attend indoor car parks. Height clearance is sometimes an issue for our larger vans. Just tell us the location and floor when you call.
