# Mobile Tyre Fitting in Oban & Argyll

Tyre Rescue covers Oban, Lochgilphead, Inveraray, Campbeltown, Ardrishaig, and the wider Argyll & Bute region — serving PA21 to PA38 postcodes.

Oban: Scotland's Seafood Capital and Ferry Gateway

Oban sits at the heart of Argyll, connecting the mainland to multiple island ferry routes including Mull, Islay, Colonsay, Coll, Tiree, and Barra. Drivers arriving for ferry connections often discover tyre damage after long A-road journeys — and need help fast.

Areas We Cover in Argyll

Oban (PA34)

The main town, ferry terminal area, and surrounding roads. We cover the full PA34 postcode including the ring road and seafront.

Inveraray (PA32)

The historic royal burgh on Loch Fyne, on the A83 route from Glasgow. Popular with tourists, especially visitors to Inveraray Castle.

Lochgilphead (PA31)

The administrative centre of Argyll. We cover the town and surrounding Mid Argyll communities.

Ardrishaig & Tarbert (PA29–PA30)

These Kintyre gateway towns are within our coverage. Tarbert connects the A83 to the Kintyre Peninsula.

Campbeltown (PA28)

The southernmost major town in Argyll, at the tip of the Kintyre Peninsula. Response times are longer but we do cover Campbeltown.

Dunoon & Cowal (PA23)

The Cowal Peninsula town, accessible via the Gourock–Dunoon ferry or the A815/A83 route. We cover Dunoon and surrounding Cowal communities.

The A83 and A85 Routes

These are the main roads through Argyll:

  • A83: Glasgow → Inveraray → Lochgilphead → Tarbert → Campbeltown. The "Rest and Be Thankful" mountain pass on the A83 is known for debris and winter road damage.
  • A85: Glasgow → Tyndrum → Crianlarich → Oban. This route through the Southern Highlands is scenic but exposed.

We cover both routes and respond to roadside callouts along them.

Response Times in Argyll

  • Oban: typically 90–120 minutes from Glasgow
  • Inveraray: typically 60–80 minutes
  • Lochgilphead: typically 90–110 minutes
  • Campbeltown: typically 150–180 minutes (very remote — please call ahead)
