# BMW Tyre Fitting Scotland: Run-Flats, TPMS & All Models
BMW is one of the most popular premium car brands in Scotland — particularly in Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Aberdeen. BMW vehicles have specific tyre requirements that differ from most other cars, and getting the right tyres matters for both safety and preserving your vehicle's performance.
Tyre Rescue provides specialist mobile BMW tyre fitting across all of Scotland, covering all current and recent BMW models.
What Makes BMW Tyres Different
Run-Flat Tyres (RSC)
Most modern BMW models — 1 Series, 2 Series, 3 Series, 4 Series, 5 Series — come factory-fitted with run-flat tyres marked RSC (Run-flat System Component). These allow driving at up to 50mph for up to 50 miles when deflated.
Critical: BMW run-flat tyres must be replaced with run-flat tyres. Fitting a conventional tyre on a BMW designed for run-flats affects TPMS calibration and handling. Always use RSC-marked replacements.TPMS Reset
All modern BMWs have direct TPMS. After any tyre change, the TPMS must be reset using a BMW-compatible diagnostic tool. Without a reset, the TPMS warning light stays on permanently. Tyre Rescue carries TPMS reset tools compatible with all BMW models. Reset is included at no extra charge with every fitting.
Load Index Requirements
BMW SUV models (X3, X5, X7) require tyres with high load indices. Check your current tyre sidewall and ensure any replacement matches or exceeds the load index.
