Mercedes Run-Flat Tyres (MOExtended / EMT)
Many Mercedes models — particularly C-Class, E-Class, and S-Class — come factory-fitted with run-flat tyres marked MOExtended or EMT (Extended Mobility Technology). These allow driving at up to 50mph for up to 50 miles when flat.
Important: Like BMW RSC run-flats, Mercedes EMT run-flat tyres must be replaced with run-flats. Fitting a conventional tyre on a Mercedes designed for run-flats affects TPMS calibration and handling.Tyre Rescue stocks MOExtended and EMT run-flat tyres for all Mercedes models.
Mercedes TPMS Reset
All Mercedes models have TPMS. After any tyre change:
- Indirect TPMS (A-Class, B-Class, GLA): Reset via MBUX — Settings → Service → Tyre Pressure Monitor → Confirm New Tyre Pressures
- Direct TPMS (E-Class, GLC, GLE, EQ models, AMG): Requires a TPMS diagnostic tool
Tyre Rescue carries Mercedes-compatible TPMS reset tools. Reset is included at no additional charge with every fitting.
